Mr. Shin-Chieh Tzeng

  • Associate Professor & Director, Graduate Institute of Conservation of Cultural Relics and Museology, Tainan National University of the Arts

Dr. Tzeng Shin-Chieh obtains his Ph. D. in Museum and Gallery Studies from the University of St Andrews, Scotland in 2009. Since then, he has been a faculty member of the Graduate Institute of Conservation of Cultural Relics and Museology, Tainan National University of the Arts. Prior to his doctoral studies, he had significant experiences in several museums in Taipei, including the Museum of World Religions, the Shihsanhang Museum of Archaeology and the TTT Puppet Theatre Museum. Dr. Tzeng’s research interests focus on museology, museum management, museum marketing, national museums, museum education and visitor studies. His publications appear in serval journals including Museology Quarterly and Technology Museum Reviews. He also presented papers at a number of international conferences in Montreal, Valencia, Vienna, Barcelona, Copenhagen, Milan, London, Beijing, Tallinn and Venice. He is currently the Head of the School in Tainan and teaches postgraduate course on ‘Museum Marketing’, ‘Museum Organisation and Management’, ‘Museum Educational Programming’, ‘Exhibition Evaluation’, ‘Museums and Cultural Tourism’.
