1.National Hsinchu Living Arts Center/ Descriptive Video Services: A Case Study of the Dance Drama "The Adventure of Spiders - Fly, Fly, Fly”

-In 2018, the National Hsinchu Living Arts Center invited over 100 students with visual impairment into the theater to experience the excitement of dance and drama, using a combination of audio description, mobility-oriented teaching, and tactile sensory aids. It was the first such experience for these students. The Center is excited to share the experiential teaching plan handbook, audio description video dance clip, assistive devices for children and execution tips with all those who are interested. This should not be missed by anyone fascinated with the descriptive video of performance art!
2.Cultural Affairs Bureau, Hsinchu City/ A Mini-Tour of Walking City Culture Explore A New Perspective of Discovering a Friendly City─A Case is the Activity “Hsinchu City‧Beautiful Life”

-The Cultural Affairs Bureau launched “Life is Beautiful in Hsinchu City: Roadmap to Hsinchu’s Art Scene” in 2018, linking 51 arts spaces of different scales to form a connected travel route. These destinations included museums, art museums and artists’ studios, all of which are shown on a specially designed art map. People could use the map to visit their chosen destinations and enjoy the art of Hsinchu City on foot! While walking, visitors can discover and be blown away by the amazing results of the city’s infrastructure improvement programs, such as the Road Leveling, Signage System for Visitors on Foot and Public Toilets Upgrade Program. Hsinchu has now become a livable and inclusive city where culture is easily accessible.
3.Yunlin Branch Office, Foundation and Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) / “Thank You for Always Being There for Me” - Take the Cultural Tour Conducted by Vitalon Foundation and TFCF as an Example

-The Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) is a non-profit organization that provides outreach to underprivileged children and their families. It organizes the Vitalon Cultural Tours together with the Vitalon Foundation annually, allowing participants to learn about culture, nature and science etc., while travelling and experiencing the sights and sounds of Taiwan. For 90% of the children who take part in the program, it is their first time spending the night in another city! Does your organization wish to open its arms to help the children we work with? 4.National Taichung Theater/ Symbiosis and Communion of Sound Cave –Plan for (Guided) Audio Description Tour in National Taichung Theater

-The curved walls and networks of openings of the Theater’s architectural design are a splendid visual experience, attracting many visitors from here in Taiwan and overseas. To make the visual stunner and architectural trope of this avant-garde building available to all, the Theater employs descriptive video guide and tactile graphics to allow visually impaired visitors to experience its beauty with the assistance of a professional volunteer. One visually impaired visitor said: “This experience has changed the image of the Theater in my mind; the aids allow me to feel the thickness of the curved wall, it’s really great.” Come and join our programs for the visually impaired to experience the architectural beauty of the theater yourself.
5.Taiwan Autism Artist Association/ Little Star Variations - Autistic students use art as an international public interest to engage in social service work

-Taiwan Autism Artist Association is a group focused on the art education of people with autism. By means of artistic and creative activities, the association provides friendly community services and engages autistic participants with the community to widen their horizons. In recent years, service has also been extended to the elderly in the community and to indigenous villages. During the roundtable discussion, We will showcase the Variations of the Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars, a music illustration created in cooperation with an international musician. Come hear how the book made it to an international charity program, thus to a broader audience. It will open your eyes to new exchange possibilities!
6.National Museum of Prehistory/ Applying Stereoscopic Printing Technology to Tactile Aids Design- A Case Study of Tactile Aids of " Chia-Lo Lake Ancient Forest" (Cloud Forest) Paintings and Rukai Tribe's Single-cup Touch Relief Version

-The National Museum of Prehistory is very experienced in making various assistive devices for the visually impaired. During the roundtable discussion, the museum will showcase the relief type tactile aids which it has converted from paintings and 3D objects in its collection. They include Chia-Lo Lake Ancient Forest (Cloud Forest) Paintings and Rukai Tribe's Single-cup Touch Relief Version. By touching the tactile aids, attendees are able to observe the translation skill, compare the suitability of design, different techniques and characteristic of materials. For those of you who wish to learn about the process of making assistive devices for the visually impaired and the key points of design, do not miss out on the presentation by the highly experienced Museum of Prehistory.
